Oxbridge Interviews: become a volunteer!
About us
Oxbridge Interviews is part of OxFizz, a charitable enterprise founded in 2008 by two Oxford graduates from LMH and a Cambridge graduate from Robinson College.
We remember how nerve-racking it was going through the Oxbridge interview process, and wanted to support pupils - from all backgrounds - in fulfilling their potential at their university interviews.
What we do
Oxbridge Interviews is unique: we are completely not-for-profit. We have over 100 volunteers - all recent Oxbridge graduates - who give up their time to support young people by providing practice university interviews.
Pupils who can afford to pay are charged, and profits generated are divided two ways - to charities chosen by our interviewers and to our bursary programme. The latter means that for each fee-paying interview we provide, we offer a free interview for a pupil who is on Education Maintenance Allowance or whose parents haven't been to university.
Volunteering opportunities
OxFizz is keen to hear from any Oxbridge graduates interested in becoming a volunteer interviewer with Oxbridge Interviews. Great training and support are provided, and travel expenses are paid. Here are some of the benefits:
- Raise money for a charity of your choice
- Fund a free practice interview for pupils on the bursary scheme
- Gain transferable skills via excellent training and support, and valuable experience by developing your interviewing skills in practice
- Be part of our OxFizz social network of young people interested in making a difference in a different way
- Contribute to a pioneering social enterprise
