Career Interview Coaching

Service

Career Interview Coaching offers practice career interviews. A selection of experienced and trained interviewers coach Oxford students who have forthcoming job or internship interviews.

Social enterprise

Interviewers are volunteers. Profits go to the charity of their choice.

History

Career Interview Coaching was OxFizz's original service. In the pilot year over 50 interviews were conducted, with outstanding feedback (100% of customers would recommend the service to a friend). Over £1,000 was raised for charity. Since then, substantially more has been raised.

Career Interview Coaching has volunteer interviewers with experience of working at companies ranging from Boston Consulting Group, Merrill Lynch, Deloitte, Unilever and many others.

Career Interview Coaching is supported by the Saïd Business School and the Oxford University Careers Service, who provide free venues for interviews. Career Interview Coaching's interviewer training programme is supported by People Plus.

Volunteering opportunities

OxFizz is keen to hear from anyone interested in becoming a volunteer interviewer with Career Interview Coaching. People from a wide range of backgrounds are welcome, whether you have extensive experience of interviewing or none - full support and training is provided. Commitment is flexible, and you will become part of the OxFizz team. Here are some of the benefits:

  • Use your skills and experience in a different way, helping young people's careers
  • Develop your interviewing and interpersonal skills
  • Network and meet with fellow interviewers at OxFizz events
  • Raise significant sums of money to support your chosen charity
  • Help be part of and develop a growing social enterprise

I enjoy being able to offer my time and skills to help a keen student get the job of thier dreams, while raising money at the same time for a charity that's close to my heart.
